Plyometrics is to running as peanut butter is to jelly time.
You pretty much can’t have one without the other! Yes, an exaggeration maybe, but plyo does SO MUCH for your fast twitch muscle fibers! It strengthens your legs and and your bones… I could go on and on. If you can survive more than 15 minutes, you have pretty much SUPERHUMAN ENDURANCE.
If you can survive the whole 60-something minutes of plyometrics, I applaud you. You are probably one of those people who has a ridiculously low heart rate of like -40BPM.
Plyo is especially important for athletes who need agility training. Trust me. I was in basketball. I know those chicks who move at the speed of light. THEY DID PLYOMETRICS. I did not. Hence why they are going on to college ball for heaps of cash, and why I retired to distance running.
