The Reality of Health and Weight Loss - I am going to a restaurant with my family tomorrow, and I am trying to eat healthy, and not have too many calories, but many of the foods at this place have either tons of cheese, or a fatty meat, is there a way to know how many calories these things have? P.S. Your blog is really informative and inspirational, I just found it and I really like it, thank you.

Thank you!

Argh that’s a tough situation. To check calorie counts, I use Lose It.com (which also has an iphone app!), because they have the exact calorie counts for brand name foods and restaurants. It’s really helpful!

Sometimes, it’s best to mix and match starters. As a vegetarian, I’ve had to do this a lot. (Soup + Salads = awesome choice!) Does the restaurant have a salad you can pair with some other healthy side dishes? Do your best :)
